Lemons of Love is a non-profit organization that provides care pages for anyone who has been impacted by cancer. One of the items they wanted to implement into their package was a coloring book so that patients would have something to occupy their time while going through chemo treatments.
I was tasked with creating one of these illustrations, the requirement being that it must include lemons. The route that I decided to take was to include a variety of sunflowers that included lemon slices inside. My reasoning is due to the idea that a sunflower can brighten your day. Additionally, the user would likely use brighter colors to facilitate the content of the image and again, hopefully adding some light to their unfortunate situation.
